Dromard CLG executive have ratified the appointment of Enda Macken and Gareth Johnston as joint senior football managers for 2024.
“Macken and Johnston are two highly respected men in Longford football and we feel we are a lucky club to have secured their services". Dromard CLG said in a statement.
Macken played for Dromard and won multiple senior championships as a player while also managing the team over 10-years ago.
Macken since served as a selector to Denis Connerton with Longford. Whereas, Macken also served a number of senior clubs in the intervening years.
While Gareth Johnston comes with a wealth of club experience in three counties. Whereas Johnston was Longford minor manager for three-years.
Recently Johnston was briefly part of the current Longford management team before stepping away from that role.
Dromard just missed out on a place in the 2023 Longford senior football final, having fallen to Clonguish in the semi-final.
