Maggie Farrelly to take charge of Allianz league encounter

Maggie Farrelly will become the first woman to referee an Allianz Football League game. The Cavan official will take charge of Sunday’s Division 4 meeting of Leitrim and London in Carrick-on-Shannon. The Laragh club woman was the first woman to referee a men’s county final, when she oversaw the Cavan football decider in November while she made history in 2015 when she refereed a men's senior Gaelic football game in the Mc Kenna cup between Fermanagh and St Mary's University.
