Melvin Gales produce major comeback to land Leitrim intermdiate title

Melvin Gaels secured a dramatic late comeback to take the Smith Monumentals Leitrim IFC title.

Allen Gaels led by eight points with 10 minutes of normal time remaining. 2-9 to seven points. However, Melvin Gaels came back to win 3-8 to 1-10.

Goals in either half from Ciaran McMorrow had Allen Gaels set for victory. However, a 60^th minute goal from Gero Gilmartin and injury time goals from Liam Ryan and Gerry Clancy saw Melvin Gaels to victory.

Meanwhile, Bornacoola landed their first championship title in 77 years when beating Eslin 3-10 to 1-11 to claim the Leitrim junior A title.
