The Roscommon ladies footballers opened their All-Ireland IFC campaign in style after beating Kildare 4-10 to 2-14 in a Group C thriller at St Brigid’s.
Grace Clifford and Aoife Rattigan found the net for Kildare but goals from Fiona Tully (two), Jenny Higgins and Róise Lennon were the difference as the Rossies claimed a two-point victory.
Meanwhile, Leitrim suffered a second straight defeat in group A after losing 3-11 to 1-10 to Offaly at Bretland park.
