Mohill advanced to the semi-finals of the Leitrim senior football championship after cruising to a 4-25 to 1-1 victory over Gortletteragh at Avant Money Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.
The defending senior champions were full value for their 33-point victory which is underlined by the fact that Gortletteragh only managed one score from play during the entire contest.
The reigning intermediate champions led 1-0 to 0-2 on seven minutes when Cathal McCrann converted a penalty but this was the only time Mohill went behind.
Mohill were seven points up on 29 minutes before two quickfire goals from Keith Beirne and Keith Keegan saw them lead 2-12 to 1-0 at half-time.
Liam Keenan’s men were equally ruthless during the third quarter, hitting 1-6 without reply with Jordan Reynolds adding a third goal on 44 minutes.
Mohill subsequently moved 34 points clear before Keoghan McGovern eventually landed Gortletteragh’s first point from play in the third minute of injury time but it was far too late.
