Mohill opened their Connacht Gold Leitrim SFC campaign with a 19 point victory over St Patrick’s Dromahair.
Mohill scoring victory 3-17 to seven points to open with a victory and set themselves up for another run to the later stages.
Elsewhere, Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin scored a 2-17 to 3-11 victory over Leitrim Gaels. Ballinamore led by two points at half-time, 1-9 to 1-7. Ballinamore’s goal coming from Dean McGovern on 17 minutes.
Shane Moran’s 52nd minute goal put Ballinamore back in front. Points from Wayne McKeown and Paul Moran sealing victory.
While, Glencar\ManorHamiliton played out a 15 points to 1-12 draw with Gortletteragh. GlencarManor led 10 points to five at half-time.
The gap was give points with five minutes remaining, before Nathan Ward rattled the ball to the net. Points from Oisin Niblock and Noah McNulty saw the game finish level 1-12 to 15 points.
Meanwhile, the draw for the second round of fixtures was made tonight. The draw was, Aannaduff v Dromahair; St. Marys Kiltoghert v Aughawillan, Mohill v Gortletteragh; Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin v Fenagh St. Calians and Glencar\ManorHamilton v Leitrim Gaels.
