Mullinalaghta awarded win over Carrickedmond

St. Columba’s Mullinalaghta have won their objection to their one point defeat to Carrickedmond.

The objection was heard on Friday night against a phantom point awarded in last Saturday’s 2-12 each draw.

The result see’s Mullinalaghta win group two of the Longford championship with Abbeylara finishing second and Clonguish third. Dromard finish in fourth place at Carrickedmond’s expense.

Updated quarter-final line-up

The updated Longford SFC quarter-finals now see champions Killoe face Dromard. Group two winners Mullinalaghta will meet Granard while Colmcille will face Clonguish and Abbeylara face Rathcline.

However, the result is subject to a secondary appeal.

Carrickedmond were unavailable for comment, pending a club committee meeting which is expected in the next few days.
