Mullinalaghta Longford SFC appeal to be heard tonight

St. Columba’s Mullinalaghta’s appeal of their Longford SFC draw with Carrickedmond will be heard tonight.

A phantom point awarded by the referee at half-time saw the game finish in a 2-12 apiece draw. It meant both teams qualified for the quarter-final stage.

Indeed, the result saw Abbeylara win the group with Mullinalaghta second, Clonguish third and Carrickedmond fourth.

However, a Mullinalaghta victory would see the 2018 Leinster champions win the group with Abbeylara second and Clonguish third. Whereas, Dromard would replace Carrickedmond in fourth place.

Shannonside sport has learnt the referee’s report confirmed the scoreline as Mullinalaghta 2-12, Carrickedmond 2-12.
