The 2018 Leinster senior champions believe they beat Carrickedmond by a point

It has been reported; Mullinalaghta have officially lodged an objection to the result of their drawn game with Carrickedmond in the final group game of the Longford senior football championship last weekend.

The fixture ended in a 2-12 a piece draw, ensuring both sides progressed to the knock out stages. St. Columba's claimed second spot in the table. Whereas, Carrickedmond knocked Dromard into the relegation play-offs.

An additional point been added to the scoreboard at half-time by the officials is the crux of the issue as media reports and video footage appears to show Carrickedmond scored five points in the first-half.

Not six, which was noted by the referee who asked for the scoreboard to be corrected.

Should the objection be upheld, it would leave Mullinalaghta topping the table ahead of Abbeylara. Whereas, Dromard would replace Carrickedmond in quarter-final placings.

The likely hood would see, further appeals which could delay the remainder of the championship.

While the quarter-final pairings had been confirmed via the finish placings in the group sstage. No details in regards to when they fixtures will take place have been confirmed by Longford county board.
