St Columba’s Mullinalaghta made a return to the Longford senior final for the first time since 2019 after beating Killoe 2-7 to seven points.
Mullinalaghta led Killoe seven points to four at half-time as conditions worsened in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park with a heavy downpour.
While Killoe scored the two points before the second water break and Mullinalaghta’s Patrick Fox received a black card. It was the north Longford men who prospered.
James McGivney found the back of the Killoe net in the final quarter with Michael Cunningham adding a second Mullinalaghta goal minutes later.
The defending champions were left shell shocked as Mullinalaghta marched into their first Longford final since 2019, the year they won the Leinster title.
Mullinalaghta will now face Mostrim in the county decider on November seventh.
