Darragh Green has set a new Irish national record at the National Olympic team trials in Dublin this morning. The Longford man, has already qualified for Tokyo but posted a time of 59.98 seconds in the 100 metre breaststroke to set the new record.
Meanwhile Mona McSharry has qualified for the Summer Olympics.
The Sligo woman swan the 100 metres in 1 min 6.97 secs which is inside the "A" qualifying standard at the National Olympic Team Trials.
