Niamh Fahey is out of the Republic of Ireland's upcoming Euro qualifiers with France and England.
The Liverpool defender missed the recent WSL game against Manchester City but travelled to Dublin for assessment by the Irish medical team.
Fahey has a calf problem and has returned to Liverpool for treatment. Ireland manager Eileen Gleeson hasn't called up a replacement.
Ireland begin their quest to qualify for the finals in Switzerland against France in Metz on Friday.
Four days later, reigning European champions England are the visitors to the Aviva Stadium.
