Kieran Donaghy has poured cold water on stories linking him with the managerial vacancy with the Roscommon footballers. It was been reported that the four-time All Ireland winner was poised to replace Anthony Cunningham, with Paul Galvin as his assistant.
However, Donaghy tweeted last night to say he hasn’t spoken with anybody from Roscommon GAA. Sports editor with the Roscommon Herald Ian Cooney noted that while there was plenty of rumours surrounding the possible appointment it was never going to happen
Absolute rubbish.
I did not speak to one single person associated with Roscommon GAA.
What has happened to fact checking a story these days. ?
WhatsApp rumours are a scary thing. #lazyjournalisim #madstuff
