Ollie Lennon has stepped down as manager of the Roscommon ladies football team.
Lennon stepped down from the role in the wake of his sides 3-13 to 3-11 defeat to Leitrim in the All-Ireland IFC semi-final.
Lennon was released and reinstated as Roscommon ladies manager in October 2023. That came after Lennon’s contract was not renewed by the Roscommon LGFA county board.
However, the process in which Lennon was not offered to continue in the role was questioned by members of the playing panel. The county board later issued an apology and an offer of reinstatement.
Lennon steered the side to promotion to division two in the Lidl ladies league. While also guiding the rossies to the IFC quarter-final.
