Ollie Lennon is to return to the helm of the Roscommon ladies football team.
The Roscommon LGFA county board offered to reinstate Lennon last week after a county board meeting. Lennon was taking time to decide on his future.
In correspondence seen by Shannonside Sport, Roscommon LGFA have informed members, Lennon will now return to the role.
An email sent to club secretaries this evening; the county board advised Lennon had agreed to resume managerial duties of the intermediate team.
The email also said; Ollie will commence contacting players with a view to forming a panel.
Lennon had left the role on September sixth. After Roscommon were relegated from division two and lost all their All-Ireland championship group matches.
Thus, The Roscommon LGFA executive carried a recommendation to look for a change of management.
However, the process in which Lennon was not offered to continue in the role was questioned by members of the playing panel.
The executive issued an apology to Lennon and his backroom staff on Monday October 16th, before the county board offered to reinstate Lennon on October 18.
