Leitrim and Longford’s opening Tailteann cup fixtures have been confirmed by the GAA.
The Kildare centre of excellence has a capacity of just 900 people. The throw-in time has been set for 6pm. At the same time Leitrim begin their campaign, hosting Waterford in Ballinamore.
Both Leitrim and Longford are in Group One. The group winner will progress to the quarter-final with the second placed team progressing to the preliminary quarter-final.
The third placed team will have a small, sweat as the worst of ranked third placed team exits the competition. Whereas, the three best third placed finishers are joined by New York in the preliminary quarter-final.
The team in fourth place will be eliminated.
Elsewhere in the Taliteann cup, Sligo open their group two campaign against Wexford in Markievicz Park on May 11 at 3pm. Whereas, Antrim host Tipperary on Sunday May 12th at 2pm in Corrigan Park.
Fermanagh host Wicklow in Brewster Park on Saturday at 3pm to open group three. Meanwhile, Laois host Carlow at 3pm in O’Moore Park on May 12th.
Indeed, Offaly will open the 2024 Tailteann Cup against London in O’Connor Park, Tullamore at 2pm on Saturday. At 4pm, Down host Limerick in Pairc Esler.
Elsewhere, if Roscommon win the Connacht U20 championship, they will face Tyrone in the All-Ireland semi-final in Kingspan Breffni at 5pm on Saturday May 12.
