Paddy Christie will remain in charge of the Longford senior footballers for the forthcoming season.
Christie recieved reappointment at Monday night’s county board meeting. The Dublin native now looks forward to a second season in charge of the Midlanders.
The backroom team also remain in situ apart from Michael Kenny who stepped down from his position as a selector.
Longford won an O’Byrne cup title under Christie’s stewardship last season. However, a poor league performance saw his side relegated to Allianz football league division four. Longford bowed out of the Leinster championship in the first round. The counties Tailteann Cup campaign came to an end to Down in the Preliminary quarter-finals.
Promotion to the third tier will be among the prime objectives for the forthcoming season.
Meanwhile; Adrian Moran was re-appointed as the county senior hurling manager.
The Longford hurlers reached the Allianz hurling league division 3B semi-final last season before finishing fourth in the Lory Meagher Cup table.
