Padraig Pearses were crowned Roscommon junior A football champions following a 0-11 to 1-6 over St. Ronan’s in the county final replay at Strokestown.
The sides were tied at two points each 13 minutes in before Pearses opened up a five-point gap on 26 minutes.
60 seconds later Ronan Kelly found the net and his side followed up with two of the next three scores but still trailed 0-8 to 1-4 at half-time.
The second half was a low-scoring affair. St. Ronan’s John Keavney restored parity seven minutes after the restart before two Daniel Glynn points saw Pearses claim the crown.
