Padraig Pearses booked their place in the Roscommon senior football final after pushing St Faithleach’s aside.
Pearses scored a comprehensive 1-9 to three point victory at Dr Hyde Park this afternoon.
Pearses hit three unaswered points in the opening four minutes through Eoin Colleran (f), Paul Carey, Declan Kenny and Adam McGreal (m).
Kevin Farrell kicked Faithleachs only score of the half, as Pearses led six points to one at half-time.
Darren Nerney opened the second-half scoring with a St Faithleach’s point. However, Paul Carey struck back for Pearses.
Declan Kenny smashed the ball into the Faithleachs’s net with 13 minutes remaining as Pearses led by nine. Lorcan Daly and Carey (free) completed the Pearses scoring.
Jonathan Hussey sent over a late Faithleach’s point as Pearses won out by nine points. Pearses will meet Michael Glaveys or Roscommon Gaels in the county final on October 20.
