Padraig Pearses booked their place in the Hudson Bay Hotel Roscommon SFC quarter-finals with a three point victory over Boyle.
Pearses scored a three point win over Boyle to take second placed in group C as Clann na nGael saw off St. Dominics in the other game.
The sides were all level at half-time Pearse with eight points to Boyle’s 1-5. Conor Ryan’s goal on three-quarter time helping Pearses to victory.
Willie Hegarty was in Woodmount for Shannonside Sport.
Elsewhere, Clann na nGael cruised to top spot in group C with a 4-19 to 1-12 win over St. Dominics. Clann take top spot with a 100% record of three wins.
Clann join Roscommon Gaels and St. Brigids in pot A for the quarter-final draw. These three group winners cannot meet each other in the quarter-final.
Whereas, Padraig Pearses, Oran and Michael Glaveys enter the quarter-finals as group runner-ups.
Indeed, North Roscommon will be joined in the preliminary quarter-finals by Castlerea St. Kevin’s, St. Faithleachs and Boyle. The preliminary quarter-finals take place next weekend ending September 8.
The draw for the quarter-final and preliminary quarter-final takes place on Sunday at 6pm.
