While it may have been a defeat in his first senior inter county management outing with Leitrim, Andy Moran has noted he was happy with certain aspects of his side's performance on Monday evening. The quarter final of the FBD league seen Leitrim go down to they Yeats county by 1-21 to 1-17 in an historic occassion at the Connacht Centre of Excellence dome with the former footballer of they year noting there was a number of positives to take from the encounter as they prepare for Cavan in the opening round of the league at the end of the month.
Following their victory Sligo will now play Roscommon at the same venue on Saturday, with Galway set to meet Mayo on the other side of the draw on Friday.
