The provincial club championship begins in earnest this weekend with plenty of action to look forward to across all 3 grades and in both Football and hurling. In the Connacht Junior championship on Saturday at 1:30 Leitrim Champions Glenfarne/Kiltyclogher will make the trip to Markievicz Park to face St Patricks (Sligo) while in Leinster Longfords Legan Sarsfields are also on their travels as they take on Clonubullogue of Offaly in Gracefield at 1pm. Ballinamore Sean O’ Heslins have home advantage in the Connacht Senior championship as they welcome the Galway champions Mountbellew/Moylough to Paric Sean Mac Diarmada on Sunday at 1:30pm. Also on Sunday in the Leinster senior championship Mullinalaghta will welcome Blessington of Wicklow to Glennon Brothers Pearse Park at 1pm. The same ground will host the Leinster intermediate first round game between St Brigids Killashee and Clara of Offlay on Saturday at 1pm. In Hurling, the Leitrim champions Cluainn Iomai will take on Easkey of Sligo in Ballinamore on Saturday at 1:30pm in the junior championship.
