A first loss for Killoe seens them facing Abbeylara in the last 8
Mostrim surprised holders and competition favourites Killoe last night by winning their group game in The Peter Hanley motors Longford senior football championship on a score of 2.10 to 10 points thus winning the group and setting up a quarter final against Dromard . The result means that Killoe will have a perceived more difficult route to a final in facing Abbeylara in their quarter final with the winners playing the winners of the second favourites St Columbas Mullinaghta and Carrickedmond. The dark horses Colmcille will play neighbours Granard St Mary's with the winners playing either Mostrim or Dromard in the other semi final. Games take place the weekend after next.
