In the top of the table premier division clash, Moore United travelled to fellow challengers Boyle Celtic and came away 4–3 winners in a thriller
Adam Dwyer gave the home side an early lead and they were still in front at half time.
However, the second-half changed all that and Moore were a much-improved side. Rian Carpenter levelled the game after taking advantage of a goal keeper error.
Moore introduced Eoin O’Connell, Emmit Kenny, young Euan Kelly, Charles Nevin, Rian Carpenter and Jay McPhilbin added three more.
Michael Corrigan and an own goal kept Boyle Celtic in the game but Moore United held out to take all three points.
St. Johns Athletic kept their title hopes on track when they beat CP Ajax 4–1 at Lecarrow. The ever-reliable Jamie Tiernan gave them a 1–0 half-time lead.
Simon Leonard volleyed a good second. Ryan Dowling added a third before the Castleplunket side pulled a goal back from the penalty spot through Gerry Ward.
Ryan Dowling made it 4–1 for the Lecarrow side near the end.
Division one round-up
In Division 1, Dunmore Town had an impressive 3-1 away win over Skyvalley Rovers.
Dunmore took the lead after five minutes when a Shane McGrath cross was finished by Daniel Burke. Padraig Costello made it 2–0 after 15 minutes with close range shot.
The host’s side were back in the game after 25 minutes. A David Grehan free-kick was parried by the Dunmore keeper. Eoin Keogh finished to leave the score 1–2 at half-time.
Skyvalley Rovers had some good chances to level the game in the second-half including a penalty but couldn’t score.
Near the end and against the run of play a long range Dylan Fallon volley from deceived the home keeper to secure the three points for Dunmore Town.
Ballinasloe Town are two points clear at the top of the Division 1 table with Moylough in second place. Skyvalley Rovers are four behind but have a game less played. Ballinasloe beat Cloonfad United 3–1 at Ballinasloe. The game was even enough until Simon Leonard scored for the hosts on 38 minutes.
Mooney Founas and Pedro Girmalau added two more for Ballinasloe with Andy Glennon pulling a goal back near the end.
Moylough travelled to Ahascragh and came away with a 3–0 win.
The sides were well matched in the first-half but Ian Fahy gave Moylough the lead early in the second-half. Fahy scored a superb volley shortly afterwards.
Dermott Hughes sealed a win with Moylogh’s third.
In Division two, Cam Celtic/Dysart beat Moore United 2–1 at Dysart. Gareth Mulligan scored both goals for the winners.
Kilkerrin Utd beat Cloonfad United 7–2 at Cloonfad.
Oisin Hynes scored two and Daniel Stephens, Luke Walsh, Enda Keane, Sean Collins and Evan Fahy added one each. Jack Reinhardt and Dan Fagan scored for Cloonfad.
In the Women’s League Boyle Celtic beat Ballinasloe Town 4–1 at Ballinasloe.
Annie O’Connor, Emer Callaghan, Sarah Lee and Andrea Hogan scored for Boyle Celtic and Patrice Fallon scored for Ballinasloe Town.
The Remaining games were victims of the bad weather.
