Following last weekend’s results Boyle Celtic and Moore United share the lead of the Roscommon and District League Premier Division.
However, St. Johns Athletic and Castlerea Celtic are just a point behind. Boyle Celtic picked up the three points after a really close game away to Ballymoe.
The divisions leading scorer Damien Goggins gave Ballymoe FC a 1–0 lead with 25 minutes played and they led at half-time.
10 minutes into the second-half Michael Corrigan scored for Boyle Celtic. Corrigan added his second with 18 minutes remaining.
St. Johns Athletic beat Shiven Rovers 3–0 away at Newbridge. Kevin Brennan Darragh Keenan and Jamie Tiernan scored their goals.
Moore United travelled to Ballaghaderreen and were 3–2 ahead when the referee abandoned the game. Both teams had a player sent-off at that stage.
Ballinasloe Town, who changed their manager, are a point clear at the top of the Division one table. Following a 3–2 win over Skyvalley Rovers at Ballinasloe.
The hosts took the lead after seven minutes from a Gary Egan free-kick. Mark Richardson levelled the game with a well struck volley.
Ballinasloe Town made it 2-1 when Mooney set up Petrut Girmalau on 40 minutes. Three minutes later Skyvalley had a defender sent-off for a late challenge.
Whereas, Mark Richardson scored for Skyvalley it was Petrut Girmalau who sealed the three points.
Skyvalley came close to getting an equaliser near the end but couldn’t put the ball in the Ballinasloe net.
Moylough 79 are just a point behind the leaders following a 2–2 draw away to Dunmore Town.
Dunmore started well and Raman Saman scored on 15 minutes. The Dunmore keeper made two great saves to keep his side in the game early in the half.
Mike Foley final pulled the visitor’s level. James Foley won a penalty for Moylough and Dermott Hughes scored.
However, Ciaran Clarke won a point for the hosts when he scored following a free-kick near the end of the game.
Glen Celtic had a comfortable 5–0 win over a young St Cuans/Ahascragh United at Glenamaddy. Ethan Dowd gave Gle a 1–0 half-time lead. Dylan Joyce added three more and Gavin Hegarty one after the break.
Rahara Rovers moved into second place in Division two, two points behind leaders Kilkerrin United, following a 5–2 win over Cloonfad United second side at Cloonfad.
Conor Flynn gave Cloonfad a 1-0 lead after nine minutes but Seamus Lynch levelled the game a few minutes later.
Darren Keadin restored the Cloonfad lead but Peter Gillooly and Conor Kavanagh had Rahara 3–2 up at half-time. Daniel Crehan and Peter Gillooly added two more for Rahara Rovers after the break.
