Roscommon bow out of Connacht U20 to Sligo

Roscommon bowed out of the Connacht U20 championship after a one point defeat to Sligo at Markievicz Park.

Sligo scored a 1-12 to 1-11 victory over the 2021 champions as Eoghan Smith kicking the winning point in added time.

In a very tight game the sides were locked 1-7 a piece at half-time. Adam McDermott with goal for the visitors on 18 minutes.

The sides exchanged points throughout the second-half until Roscommon edged two clear 1-11 to 1-9 in the 48th minute.

However, it was the hosts who finished the stronger with points from Deignan and two from Smith which saw Sligo to victory.
