Roscommon moved into the Allianz league division two promotion places with a push over win against Offaly.
Goals from Enda Smith and Donie Smith saw Roscommon to a 2-18 to 14 points win in O’Connor Park.
In truth Roscommon were home and hosed by half-time as they led 1-12 to seven points. It took Offaly seven minutes to register their first score.
By that stage Cairan Murtagh, Enda Smith, Ultan Harney and Conor Cox had moved Roscommon four points ahead.
Ronan Daly, Richard Hughes, Keith Doyle and a Cox mark had Roscommon eight – two up on 13 minutes.
Keith Doyle saw red for a soft second yellow card, but it hardly mattered with 56 minutes remaining. 10 minutes later Donie Smith converted a Cathal Heneghan into the net as Roscommon led 1-12 to seven at half-time.
It would take 10 minutes of second-half action for a first score and when it came Enda Smith found the net ending any Offaly hopes.
Eddie Nolan, Cox, Johnny Moloney, Niall Kilroy, Cian McKeon (2) and Diarmuid Murtagh all found points as Roscommon waltzed to victory.
