Roscommon dominate ladies division three team of the year

Laura Fleming and five Roscommon teammates have all been named in the 2022 Lidl ladies national football league’s division three team-of-the-year.

The Rossies have six players named, including captain Laura Fleming, and there are four Wexford players in the selection.

Beaten semi-finalists Kildare, have three players selected. Fellow semi-finalists Down, have two players in the team.

Roscommon’s Helena Cummins is selected in goal with Sinead Kenny at right-corner-back. Niamh Feeney gets the nod at left-half-back.

Fleming takes a spot in centre-field with Jennifer Higgins at right-half-forward and Aisling Hanly at right corner-forward.
