Roscommon GAA recorded a surplus €1.2 million at their 2021 convention held virtually on Monday evening.
After depreciation the profit stood at €610,579. Income of the year was up to €2.1million with expenditure down to €860,000.
The Club Rossie fundraiser "Win a home in London" saw a profit of €842,658 progressed to the county board funds.
Treasurer David O’Connor highlighted how the county board now was in full control of their financial affairs after two years where Croke Park oversaw these requirements. O’Connor insisted that Roscommon county board needed to push ahead with capital development projects including the upgrade of Dr Hyde Park and the centre of excellence.
O’Connor also advised that all county games will move to an all e-ticket system in 2022. There will be no cash taken at the gates in line with a national incentive.
In his address chairman Brian Carroll explained that the Dr. Hyde Park development committee will publish their projects in 2022 and insisted that upgrades will begin in 2022.
Carroll also revealed that the county board is in discussions with two separate land owners in Roscommon town. Which will see the development of the Dermot Early centre.
