Roscommon host Sligo as the All-Ireland championship arrives in Dr Hyde Park.

The style of Davy Burke’s side came in for criticism after last week’s draw with Dublin in Croke Park.

However, Roscommon took just their second championship draw from Croke Park in the last 23-years.

“Roscommon were the first division one side Dublin met all year and they were full value for the result,” Diarmuid Connolly told Boylesport.

“I actually thought at half-time they were going to run away with it because Dublin were playing so bad”.

“The two Murtaghs were very good” explained Connolly. “While John Small did a good job on Enda Smith in the first half, he started to get at least a life in the second-half”.

“Roscommon will be the happier leaving Croke Park despite being four points up at half-time. They had seven scorers on the board compared to Dublin's three, so that's telling.”

However, this weekend will need a very different approach from Burke’s team. Sligo are a physical team with high fitness levels.

Whereas, the impressive response in the draw with Kildare was chasing the equaliser late on.

Burke has made one change to team which drew with Dublin. Conor Daly comes in for Donie Smith with a number of positional changes.

Daly starts at left-half-back with Dylan Ruane moving to centre-field. Ciaran Lennon moves left-half-forward. Cian McKeon, Ben O’Carroll and Diarmuid Murtagh are the full-forward line.

Roscommon: Conor Carroll, Conor Hussey, Brian Stack, David Murray, Niall Daly, Eoin McCormack, Conor Daly, Dylan Ruane, Eddie Nolan, Ciaráin Murtagh, Enda Smith, Ciarán Lennon, Cian McKeon, Ben O'Carroll, Diarmuid Murtagh.
