James Hardiman’s last-gasp point gave Roscommon a 0-21 to 0-20 victory over Armagh in their Nickey Rackard Cup clash at the Box-IT Athletic Grounds.
Roscommon started impressively. Cian Murray and Conor Mulry were to the fore as the visitors led 0-14 to 0-10 at half-time.
Alex O’Boyle was Armagh’s main scoring threat, having accounted for all bar one of the hosts’ first-half tally.
Armagh subsequently opened up a three-point gap. Three Conor Cosgrove points saw the Rossies draw level two minutes into injury time.
Hardiman then landed the winning score right at the death as the Rossies maintained their unbeaten start to the Nickey Rackard cup.
