Roscommon advanced to the Allianz league division 3A semi-final with a late 2-17 to 1-19 win over Armagh.
Francis O’Halloran side have now won three of their four league games. Roscommon are now second in the table behind Tyrone on score difference.
The sides were level at 10 points apiece at half-time. Brendan Mulry found the Armagh net on 53 minutes looked to have moved Roscommon home.
Armagh responded with a Dean Gaffney goal as the hosts led by three with eight minutes remaining.
Mickey Joe Egan proved to be the hero with a late point fooled by Roscommon second goal of the game late on as Roscommon sealed victory in the Athletic grounds.
The win secures a top two finish with one round remaining. The league winner will advance to the final with the second place team facing either Armagh or Monaghan in the semi-final.
