Roscommon hurlers too strong for Armagh

Roscommon picked up their first win of Allianz hurling league division 3A beating Armagh 2-20 to 0-5 at Dr. Hyde Park.

Roscommon let by a solitary point eight minutes in and dominated the remainder of the half to lead 0-14 to 0-3 at the break.

Roscommon started the second half with intent. Naos Connaughton’s goal within seconds of the restart gave the hosts a 14-point buffer.

Paddy Fallon stretched Roscommon’s lead to 17 points on 59 minutes and six minutes later Conor Mulry added another goal as the hosts ran out convincing winners.
