Wexford scored an impressive one point victory over Roscommon in Dr. Hyde Park in their All-Ireland intermediate group opener.
Scores were at a premium in the Hyde. The hosts led by two points at the break but Wexford pushed ahead in the second half with Aisling Murphy on target.
However, Aisling Shanagher found the net for Roscommon to draw the side’s level and set up a nervous finish.

Last year’s TG4 intermediate finalists though were resolute and Chloe Fox and Aoife Cullen added a brace of points to seal the victory.
A final score by Aisling Shanagher left it a one point game as Wexford out 0-11 to Roscommon’s 1-7.
