Roscommon booked their place in the Connacht minor football semi-finals with a 17 points to eight win over Sligo in Markievicz Park.
The win means Roscommon finish the campaign with four points with one game remaining. Neither Leitrim nor Sligo can catch Roscommon.
Roscommon led 11 points to four at half-time. Niall Heneghan, John Curran, John McGuinness and Eoghan Murray all scoring from play.
Sean McDonnell added two frees and Jamie Betts a point as Roscommon led 0-11 to 0-4.
Four frees in the second-half saw Roscommon even allowing for Heneghan’s red card. Sean McDonnell added four points including three fees and a free from McGuinness allow with a point from Cathal McKeon saw Roscommon to victory.
Meanwhile, Leitrim lost out to Mayo in Paric Sean, 1-17 to 1-13. Paul Honeyman scoring 1-6 for Leitrim.
With one round of group games remaining Roscommon will finish in third place ahead of Leitrim and Sligo. Galway and Mayo occupy the top two spots.
The group winner progresses to the Connacht final on May 26 with the second place team in the group meeting Roscommon on May 19.
