Mayo got the better of Roscommon to open their Connacht U20 campaign with victory.

John Curran added a two pointer with one each from Cathal McKeon and Brendan Murphy.
Mayo led by two points at half-time with David Higgins extending the lead to three, three minutes after the restart.
However, Roscommon responded well, two John Curran points either side of a Kealen Kelly point for three points in-a-row as Roscommon tied level. 1-9 to 12 points.
Indeed, Mayo responded expertly with three-points in a row through Niall Hurley, Tom Lydon (f) and Josh Carey. Mayo leading 1-12 to 0-12, 12 minutes into the second-half.
Rory Kilcline responded for Roscommon with a point. Alas, it was Roscommon's last score of the night.
Oisin Cronin, Darragh Beirne and Tom Lydon all sent over points for Mayo as they won out 1-15 to 13 points.
