Roscommon get their Nicky Rackard Cup campaign underway when they travel to a tricky meeting with Armagh in the Athletic grounds on Saturday.
The sides last met two weeks ago when Armagh recorded a 1-22 to 20 point win in Dr Hyde Park, in their league semi-final.
This will be just as difficult a contest for Roscommon. Armagh come into the game on the back of a two point defeat to Tyrone in the league final.
However this competition is the big time and Roscommon will need to be at their best to come away with a result.
Discipline will be the key factor in this one with Roscommon’s being reduced to 13 men the last time out. If discipline has improved then Roscommon could come away with a result.
Otherwise this one could be done before the Sunday dinner is severed.
