Daire Cregg, Diarmuid Murtagh and Donie Smith were all on fire.

Roscommon advanced to the FBD League semi-final after a first-half Sligo collapse in the Connacht air dome.

Roscommon won out 1-21 to 0-15, having led 1-13 to four points at half-time. Tony McEntee making eight changes before half-time.

Daire Cregg 1-4 (4f), Diamuird Muratgh 0-5 (4f) and Donie Smith 0-5 (3f) top scoring for Davy Burke’s men.

Daire Cregg opened the scoring after four minutes from a free. Diarmuid Murtagh doubling the rossies lead two minutes later with a free.

Lee Deignan opened Sligo's account in response. However, Murtagh, Cregg (free) and new man Jack Duggan moved Roscommon five points to one ahead on 11 minutes.

Deignan sent over his second point of the day on 12 minutes but Roscommon responded through Murtagh (free) and Heneghan.

Daire Boyle scored Sligo's third point of the game on 16 minutes, but from there it was all Roscommon; aided by Evan Lyons black card.

Cregg, Donie Smith (both free's) and Cian Connelly extended Davy Burke's sides lead to 10 points to three on 24 minutes. Cregg found the Sligo net two minutes later after a great Donie Smith ball. Cregg showing soccer skills turning the ball into the net.

Cathal Heneghan, Donie Smith and a Diarmuid Murtagh free pushed Roscommon 1-12 to three points ahead on the half-hour mark.

Eight first-half changes

Alan Reilly sent over Sligo's first score in 16 minutes with a free as Sligo made eight substitutes, three minutes before half-time. The Rossies led 1-13 to 0-4 at the break.

Sligo started the second-half with more intensity but managed to kick four wides-in-a-row.

Diarmuid Murtagh (free) and Donie Smith landed the first two scores of the half as the game turned into real challenge match fare.

A Mikey Gordon free was Sligo's first of the second-half. While, Enda Smith and Deignan exchanged points.

Gordon grabbed Sligo's seventh point of the evening a minute later. The first time all game Sligo had gone back-to-back on scores.

Donie Smith converted a free on 49 minutes with Conal Marren adding Sligo's eighth of the evening as Roscommon led 1-17 to 0-8 on 51 minutes.

Sligo pulled the game back to 10 points on 54 minutes through a Deignan ‘45 and Mikey Gordon from play. Alan McLoughlin added a free 14 minutes from time, but there was no big comeback from Tony McEntee's men.

Jack Duggan and a Donie Smith free saw Roscommon lead 1-19 to 11 points. David Quinn pulled a point back with Conor Cox restoring the 11 point lead five minutes before time.

Peter Laferty and Cox(f) exchanged scores. An Alan Mcloughlin free and a David Quinn point was the last action of the night as Roscommon booked a place in the semi-final.
