Roscommon will meet Galway in the Connacht Under-20 football final after Galway ended Sligo’s three-in-a-row bid.
Galway scored a 23 points to 1-12 victory in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park to setup a final meeting with Roscommon.
Galway opened a 12 points to one lead after just 18 minutes with scores from Jack Mullin, Colm Costello and Matthew Thompson.
A Connor Flynn goal gave Sligo a glimmer of hope. However, they still trailed by 1-2 to 0-13 at the break.
Luke Marren and Eli Rooney got further scores back for Sligo after the restart, but Galway held all the aces, with goalkeeper Eamon McGrath even chipping in with a pair of points from frees.
Galway will face Roscommon in the Connacht U20 final on Saturday May 4 in Hastings Insurance MacHale Park at 7:30pm.
