Roscommon made it two draws from two in the Connacht U20 championship after a nine points each draw with Sligo.
Sligo, winners of the last two provincial titles, made the better start, Eli Rooney bagged two points inside the opening five minutes.
Roscommon drew level by the 14th minute through frees from Shane McGinley and Rory Carty. However, the rossies failed to score for the remainder of the half.
Sligo playing with the wind were ahead at half-time six points to two.
Roscommon fired out of the box in the second-half. Points from Shane McGinley, Ryan Dowling and Eoghan Carthy, saw Roscommon go in-front eight points to six with 13 minutes remaining.
Sligo were back in-front by the 59th minute. Ronan Niland’s point putting Sligo 0-9 to 0-8 ahead.
However, Roscommon’s Bobby Nugent had the final say converting a free in stoppage time to earn a draw.
Roscommon’s next game in the Connacht U20 championship is against Galway on April 10 in Dr. Hyde Park.
