Brian Farrell’s last-gasp point saw Mostrim draw Mullinalaghta as their Longford SFC round one clash ended 1-15 apiece at Higginstown.
A stalemate looked inconceivable on 21 minutes when James McGivney’s goal gave Mullinalaghta an eight-point lead. Mostrim replied with three successive scores making it 1-8 to 0-6 at half-time.
Mullinalaghta’s Michael Cunningham was sent off nine minutes after the restart and three minutes later, Mostrim’s Seamus Hannon found the net leaving four points between the sides.
Mostrim reduced the margin to a single point with two minutes remaining and followed up by landing two of the last three scores as the match ended level.
