St Faithleach’s secured the Roscommon intermediate football title after a low scoring victory over St Dominic’s in Dr Hyde Park.
Faithleach’s won out 1-8 to seven points after extra-time with Dominic’s finishing with 12 players and Faithleachs finishing with 14.
The sides were level at six points a-piece at full-time in a total stop start game after a massive rain fall during the first-half.
Just 1-3 was scored between the sides in extra-time which ended with a melee as two St. Dominic’s and one St. Faithleach’s were shown red cards.
Cathal Gunn’s goal in the second period of extra-time sealed the title for St. Faithleach’s as they won out 1-8 to seven points.
St Faithleach’s will now represent Roscommon in the Connacht Club Intermediate Football Championship at the end of November.
