St Mary’s Kiltoghert booked a meeting with Mohill in the Leitrim SFC final after victory over Ballinamore Sean O’Heslins.
St Mary’s won out 12 points to 1-6 in a game they dominated for long periods. Mary’s leading nine points to 1-2 at half-time.
Conor Hackett and Niall McGovern exchanged points in the opening minutes before Michael McKiernan landed Ballinamore’s goal on 10 minutes.
St Mary’s struck back with three points from Ben Guckian, Diarmuid Kelleher and Hackett to level the game, three minutes later.
Kelleher kicked Mary’s ahead a minute later. They would never trail in the game again. Nicholas McWeeney, Paul Keaney and Jack Casey all kicked points before half-time. Mohill led by four at half-time.
Ballinamore fought back in the opening period of the second-half. Dillon Beirne and two Shane Moran frees made it a one point game nine minutes after the restart.
Paul Keaney sent over Mary’s first point of the second-half on 48 minutes. Shane Moran and Paul Keaney exchanged frees as Mary’s led by two with nine minutes to play.
Keaney moved Marys three clear three minutes from time and that was all she wrote as St. Mary’s booked their place in the final with a 12-points to 1-6 victory.
St. Mary’s Kiltoghert will face Mohill in the Leitrim SFC final on Sunday October eighth in Avantmoney Pairc Sean MacDiarmada.
