St. Ronan's reach Connacht junior final after beating Owenmore Gaels

St. Ronan's claimed victory after hitting 1-3 without reply in the closing stages.

St. Ronan’s reached the Connacht junior club football championship final following a 1-12 to 0-9 win over Owenmore Gaels.

The sides were tied at five points each at half-time; John Keavney (two), Jordan Earley, Gary O’Daly and Fergal Guihen were on target for St Ronan’s.

The sides were level on a further three occasions before St Ronan’s hit 1-3 without reply during the last ten minutes.

Ronan Kelly’s last-gasp goal sealed a comfortable victory and the Roscommon champions can now look forward to playing in the Connacht final.
