Strokestown beat Boyle by a single point to win the Roscommon SFC final after a dramatic finish writes Jack Gannon.
The game started out evenly, both sides traded two points each. Donie Smith opened the scoring for Boyle after three minutes before Diarmuid McGann levelled the game two minutes later.
Ciaran Regan put Strokestown ahead after eight minutes before Enda Smith equalised a minute later.
Cathal Feely gave Boyle the lead from a well-taken 45 on 11 minutes. 60 seconds later Daire Cregg doubled Boyles lead. Keith Murphy halved Boyles lead with a well worked point from the Strokestown wing-back on 13 minutes.
Daire Cregg restored Boyles two point advantage 13 minutes later, before Cathal Lavin made it a one-point game five minutes later.
Three minutes in injury time Donie Smith got an impressive score for Boyle restoring their two point lead. Strokestown managed to level the game before half-time with two frees in two minutes from Niall Curley. The half-time score; six points a-piece.
Boyle got off to a great start in the second-half with two points in a row. The first coming from Colin Goldrick after he converted a free on 36 minutes, before Donie Smith capped off a great team score six minutes later.
Strokestown replied with a quick-fire double; two points in as many minutes from Diarmuid McGann and Colin Compton.
The score after 47 minutes was eight points a-piece.
Donie Smith started a dramatic end to the game, putting Boyle ahead with four minutes of normal time remaining. Colin Compton replied for Strokestown on 59 minutes.
Diarmuid McGann then gave Strokestown the lead a minute into injury time before Donie Smith kicked an incredible long range free which looked like it would send the game into extra-time.
Stroketown however found time for one more attack as Diarmuid McGann set-up substitute Tony Lavin as he kicked the winning point with the last kick of the game.
Strokestown winning their first Roscommon SFC in 20 years.
