A massive thank you to the sponsors of the event and all the competitions over this most difficult year. Without your continued support for events and competitions like these, our community groups would not be in a position to assist our community.
Bumlin folk seniors
The last singles winners before the change in format were Jackie McDonnell followed by Paddy Murray and Michael Tracey. The ladies winners went Margaret McGowan ahead of Kitty Dowd. The singles competition will give-way to a mixed scramble. Please refer to the WhatsApp for full details on this.
Junior golfers
The junior lessons continue on a Saturday morning with the kids making some fantastic progress. We understand that because so many sporting events have been pushed back as a result of the pandemic, other sports will clash.
We look forward to seeing the kids grow with the game and bring the skills with them in the future.
Special thanks
With the passing of the competition year we reflect on how the course has seen a huge increase in use. We are delighted to see that so many have returned to play the game of golf or have found a new hobby.
Strokestown Golf Club look forward to 2022 and seeing some of the projects being used. The new putting green is taking shape and coming along very well.
Thank you to John, Brendan, Paul and all the workers and volunteers for maintaining the course and keeping it in absolutely immaculate condition throughout the year.
