Roscommon booked a place in the Connacht minor final with an impressive seven point win over Galway.
Dean Casey found the net twice as Roscommon won out 3-5 to 0-7 in Tuam Stadium.
Cillian Joyce gave Galway the lead on four minutes with a point. Dean Casey replied two minutes later.
Stephen Tighe gave Roscommon the lead on 11 minutes. This time Joyce landed his second point of the night to level.
Joe McKeon restored the Roscommon lead two minutes. Surprisingly it would take another 10 minutes for a score to be registered. Even though the Rossie backs kept the ball out of their net on two occasions.
Galway were level on 25 minutes through a Niall De Paor free. 60 seconds later De Paor put the tribesmen ahead from play.
However the drama was to come in the closing stages of the half. Eoin Collins riffled the ball into the Galway net two minutes before the break.
On the stroke of half-time Daire Curran grabbed Roscommon's second goal of the game. Roscommon led 2-3 to 0-4 at half-time.
Roscommom prevailed in a remarkably low scoring second-half. Cillian Joyce brought it back to a four point game with a free 60 seconds after the restart.
It would take nearly 10 further minutes for another score. A Daire Curran free on 44 minutes making it 2-4 to 0-5.
Dean Casey put the game beyond Galway with 10 minutes remaining. One chance for Casey who finished expertly to the net to put eight points between the teams.
Joyce collected his fourth and fifth point of the game in the final three minutes of normal time but it wasn’t enough for the tribesmen.
Daire Curran wrapped up the scoring three minutes into injury time as Roscommon won out 3-5 to 0-7 and setup a Connacht minor final meeting with Mayo next Friday.
