There is a fear that the U20 GAA competition will be forgotten or dropped as the association looks to get senior intercounty competitions back underway followed by a calendar for the return of club action.
With a number of counties to yet complete their competitions from last year on the club front, and the window narrowing for games to be played over the summer months, a number of U20 managers have been vocal in their belief that a certain age group of players have been forgotten about as the country and indeed sport continues to reopen after the Covid 19 lockdown.
The recent championship draws and release of the National league fixtures have confirmed a path for senior footballers, something that Cavan U20 manager Damien Donohoe spoke to Sean Mc Caffrey about when they discussed the provincial draws.
