Finbarr Cregg sent over an equalising point in injury time as Western Gaels drew with Roscommon Gaels.
The arrival of storm Betty impacted the game massively as the sides drew five points apiece.
Roscommon Gaels led four points to three at half-time. While, just five points were scored in the second-half in one of the lowest scoring championship games.
Whereas, points from Rory McCarthy (2 frees), Kieran Kilcline and Richard Walsh had Roscommon Gaels lead four points to three at half-time. Western Gaels scores coming from Kevin Higgins, Niall Higgins and Jack Higgins.
Western Gaels playing against the wind never gave in, shooting 10 second-half wides. Kevin Higgins had the side’s level within two minutes of the restart.
Whereas, Rory McCarthy’s third point of the game on 36 minutes, was Roscommon Gaels final score of the match.
However, Finbarr Cregg sent over the equaliser in injury time in a game which was hammered by the weather.
