Galway dominated in the second-quarter with Niall Burke finding the net nearly immediately after the resumption and Jarlath Mannion making it 3-18 to 10 points at the break.
Westmeath never threatened even playing with the wind in the second-half Brian Concannon with Galway’s fourth goal four minutes into the second-half.
